No Parking (Advisory)
In plain English
An advisory 'please do not park' sign — not legally enforceable by a PCN, but you may be towed if blocking access.
What it means
White advisory signs that say 'No Parking', 'Please do not block driveway' or 'No Parking — access required' are typically NOT legally enforceable by the council. There must be a road marking (yellow line) or a Traffic Regulation Order to issue a PCN. However, if you block access to a private driveway, the property owner may call recovery services.
Common variations
- Please do not park — access required at all times
- Keep driveway clear
