ParkCheck is a free online tool that helps UK drivers understand parking signs using optical character recognition (OCR) and a manually curated sign database. It is provided for general guidance purposes only.

ParkCheck does not provide legal advice. The information provided by this service is guidance only and may not reflect your specific circumstances, local byelaws, or the most current regulations. Parking rules in the UK vary between councils and can change without notice.

Always check the physical signs and road markings at the location where you intend to park. Do not rely solely on ParkCheck when making parking decisions. We accept no responsibility for Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), fines, clamping, or towing that result from reliance on this service.

We take care to ensure our sign database is accurate, but we make no warranty — express or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any information provided. OCR technology is imperfect and may misread signs, particularly in poor lighting or at an angle.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ParkCheck and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to parking fines, towing costs, vehicle damage, or loss of time.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You may use ParkCheck for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service at scale
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our sign database or matching logic
• Submit content that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful
• Use the service in any way that interferes with its normal operation

When you submit a sign photo or contact message, you grant ParkCheck a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to improve the service (for example, adding a new sign to our database). You retain ownership of content you submit. We will not sell or share your submissions with third parties for commercial purposes.

ParkCheck uses third-party services including OCR.space (image processing), Supabase (data storage), and Vercel (hosting). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

We may modify or discontinue ParkCheck (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also update these terms — the “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
