Verge / Footway parking
Wholly on Verge or Footway
Illustration only — times shown may differ from your sign.
In plain English
Vehicles must park completely on the verge or footway — not partially on the road.
What it means
This sign allows parking wholly (completely) on the verge or footway. Unlike the partial parking sign, the vehicle must be fully off the carriageway. This is used where street width means partial on-road parking would obstruct traffic. The vehicle must not damage the footway and pedestrian access must be maintained.
