Clearways
No Stopping — Carriageway and Verge
In plain English
No stopping on the carriageway or verges — used where verge stopping must also be prohibited.
What it means
This variant of the clearway no-stopping sign extends the prohibition to the verge and footway as well as the carriageway. It is used on clearways where the adjacent verge or footway could otherwise be used as a stopping area. The restriction applies at all times unless time-plates indicate otherwise.
